Protecting kid's skin health is at the top of my priority list since I battle Allergic Contact Dermatitis. At bath time, we use @Cerave Moisturizing Cream or their Daily Light Moisturizing Cream depending on the season. Don't skip out on moisturizing just because of a warmer climate either. The best way to keep moisture in is to lightly dab a towel on after bathing and then apply the cream to damp skin and lock in the moisture. You'll find in my house we use all Low Allergen products.

💡Another essential thing to know about infant skin is less washing is better. 👶🏼Their immature immune system is searching for directions on what to fight off.

Early research shows that broken skin in children under 6 months of age can be more of a factor in developing allergies than we ever thought before. The most important thing to note is moisturizing with a fragrance, and botanical/essential oil-free moisturizer is key in protecting their immune system.

I'm Dannyelle, and I live in Louisville, Kentucky – home of The Kentucky Derby! – with my handsome hubby & 4 amazing kids. I was diagnosed with Allergic Contact Dermatitis (Stage IV Delayed Immune Response allergies) more than 13 years ago. I was given a lengthy list of crazy-sounding chemicals to avoid. It seemed daunting, and itʼs been a rocky road at times since then with many twists and turns, ups and downs.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I worked hard to find information that could help me figure my allergies out. I've been shocked to see the same incomplete information still lingering around that I had read back in 2006. There's little to no detailed info to help me easily navigate my allergies. This saddens me, not just for myself, but for all of us suffering from ACD allergies. I was especially sad for other moms I spoke to whose children had ACD, and they had no idea how to help them and stop their suffering.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
